Senior Client-Facing Paraplanner | Chartered Financial Planning | Hybrid

Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire (Hybrid)

Our client, a highly respected Chartered and independent financial planning firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Client-Facing Paraplanner to join its growing technical team.

This is not a traditional paraplanning position.

It's a genuinely hybrid role that combines high-level technical financial planning with direct client engagement, making it ideal for an experienced paraplanner who enjoys working closely with clients but wishes to continue developing within a senior technical career rather than moving into a Financial Planner role.

The Opportunity

You'll work alongside senior Financial Planners, supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with sophisticated financial planning strategies while taking ownership of client relationships throughout the advice journey.

This is an accelerated senior technical position offering significant responsibility, client interaction, and the opportunity to become a trusted adviser within the planning process—without sacrificing your technical specialism.

The successful candidate will:

• Attend client meetings alongside Financial Planners
• Build strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients
• Support the design and implementation of complex financial planning strategies
• Produce high-quality suitability reports and technical recommendations
• Conduct investment, pension and protection research
• Help manage substantial client portfolios
• Take ownership of recommendations through to implementation
• Mentor and support junior paraplanners
• Become a recognised technical expert within the business

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum
• Is Chartered or actively working towards Chartered status (highly desirable)
• Has at least five years' experience within financial planning or paraplanning
• Enjoys working directly with clients and building trusted relationships
• Has strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement and tax planning
• Is proactive, commercially aware and highly organised
• Wants to develop as a senior technical specialist rather than using paraplanning purely as a route into financial advice
• Enjoys mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team culture

Location

This hybrid opportunity is based in the Wilmslow area. As office attendance is largely driven by client meetings, applicants should ideally live within approximately 45 minutes of the office.
