Private Wealth Manager – Hong Kong (Confidential) #026

Location: Hong Kong
Salary: Competitive package, attractive incentive structure and long-term career progression.

Build Your Career with a Leading Independent Wealth Management Firm

Our client is an established and highly respected independent wealth management business with an outstanding reputation for delivering holistic financial planning to internationally minded professionals and high-net-worth individuals.

As part of its continued growth across Asia, the firm is seeking an experienced Private Wealth Manager to join its Hong Kong office.

This opportunity offers far more than a traditional advisory role. You'll become part of a collaborative, adviser-focused environment where client relationships always come before product sales. Advisers are supported by experienced operational, compliance and client service teams, allowing them to focus on what they do best—building long-term client relationships and delivering exceptional financial planning.

The organisation has built its reputation on integrity, independence and personalised advice, with a culture that genuinely invests in the long-term success of its people through professional development, flexible working and collaborative support.

The Opportunity

As a Private Wealth Manager, you will develop and manage relationships with affluent expatriate and internationally connected clients, providing holistic financial planning and wealth management advice across multiple financial disciplines.

Working within a highly professional team, you will help clients navigate increasingly complex financial decisions while delivering an exceptional client experience built on trust, transparency and long-term partnerships.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious adviser seeking to join a business that values quality advice over transactional sales and offers genuine long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop long-term relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients.
  • Deliver holistic financial planning across investment, retirement, protection and wealth preservation strategies.
  • Generate new business through referrals, professional introducers and personal networking.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial reviews and create tailored client strategies.
  • Maintain regular ongoing reviews to ensure clients remain on track to achieve their objectives.
  • Work closely with internal specialists to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
  • Maintain the highest professional, ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Candidate Profile

The successful individual will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Adviser or Private Wealth Manager.
  • An existing, transferable client portfolio and/or demonstrable assets under management (AUM) is essential.
  • Experience advising affluent, expatriate or internationally mobile clients would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • A consultative, client-first approach to financial planning.
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity and personal accountability.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A genuine desire to build long-term client relationships rather than focus solely on short-term sales.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Diploma (or international equivalent) in Financial Planning or Wealth Management.
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding recognised international wealth management qualifications.
  • Demonstrable understanding of investment, pension and protection planning.
  • Knowledge of cross-border financial planning is advantageous.
  • Existing Hong Kong regulatory permissions or the ability to obtain the necessary licensing would be beneficial.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary and uncapped earning potential.
  • Adviser-focused culture with excellent operational and paraplanning support.
  • Access to a high-quality client proposition designed around long-term financial planning.
  • Flexible and agile working environment.
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression.
  • Collaborative team culture that values integrity, independence and client outcomes.
  • Opportunity to work with internationally mobile professionals and high-net-worth individuals across Asia.
  • Long-term career growth within an expanding international organisation.
