Paraplanner | Independent Financial Planning | Hybrid | Up to £50,000
Location: Preston, Lancashire (Hybrid)
Our client, a highly respected and growing independent financial planning firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys producing high-quality financial planning reports, undertaking complex research, and working closely with Financial Planners to deliver tailored advice to high-net-worth clients.

The Opportunity
As an integral member of the financial planning team, you'll provide technical support to advisers across the full advice process, ensuring every recommendation is accurate, compliant and tailored to each client's objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed technical research across pensions, investments, retirement planning, tax planning and protection
- Preparing high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Supporting Financial Planners with complex client cases and financial planning strategies
- Analysing existing financial arrangements and identifying planning opportunities
- Preparing cashflow modelling and financial planning documentation where appropriate
- Ensuring recommendations comply with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards
- Maintaining accurate client records and technical documentation
- Liaising with providers and internal teams to support the implementation of recommendations
- Keeping up to date with legislative, regulatory and industry developments
- Working collaboratively with Financial Planners and Client Support teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) or Wealth Management firm
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or be actively working towards completion)
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning and taxation
- Experience producing high-quality suitability reports
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for technical financial planning
